The Marine Executive Association – West is a non-profit 501c(19), all-volunteer veteran's organization. Through a global network of Marines, the MEA-West helps Marines transition to the civilian workplace from active and reserve status or to their next position in the civilian workforce. The motto of the MEA-West is "Marines Helping Marines." The MEA-West charges no membership fees or dues.
The MEA was founded 30 years ago by six Marines who were already well established in their civilian positions in the Washington, D.C. area. Through the years, the association's network has grown to include thousands of Marines, some stationed around the world.
The MEA-West holds monthly networking meetings at Pacific Views (formerly the South Mesa SNCO Club) on Camp Pendleton. The meetings feature informative guest speakers who provide professional advice and assistance to the transitioning Marine. In addition, we email weekly job opportunity announcements to Marines stationed around the world; maintain a list of expert members who can assist in transition preparation; network with other organizations; assist matching organizations to those with the right skills; and network, network, network.
